How to hook to guitars in to one amp?

Hi I have a Line 6 PODxt live and i was wondering if there was somethink like a cable splitter so i can hook up my main guitar and my lap steel because well i need two.
and i don’t wanna bye another amp because i have a really expensive rig close to 2000 of the sweet stuff so yea

Would have been better if you had given the amp make/model, but taking that the amp only has ONE input, which is unusual, there are audio splitters available.

If the input to amp is a standard 1/4-inch phono jack and the two instruments use 1/4-inch phono plugs, then you need a y-adapter with two female 1/4-inch jacks into one 1/4-inch output plug.

Not really happy with this solution as you will have limited control.

Try it first. Y-adapters available at Radio Shack or any good electronics parts house. Can even find them online.
